The Seiko Prospex Alpinist is one of the great underrated classics in Japanese watchmaking. First launched in 1959 for mountain climbing expeditions, it combined precision, durability, and a compass-scale inner bezel into a watch small and elegant enough to wear off the mountain. The SPB155J1 continues that tradition with a deep green dial under sapphire crystal and the 6R35 automatic calibre — a movement worthy of the Alpinist name.
